Publishing to your accounts
Connecting an account is optional and always starts from you, in Profile → Connected Accounts. BoldEdit only ever posts to your own account, and only the posts you create.
Your footage stays on your iPhone
All editing and transcription run on the device. BoldEdit has no content server and no user accounts — your video is never uploaded to us. The only time a video leaves your iPhone is when you explicitly publish it, and then it goes straight from your device to the platform you chose. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Posting to TikTok
BoldEdit uses TikTok's Content Posting API to publish a finished clip to your own TikTok account. In the schedule form you choose the caption, who can view the post, the interaction settings (comment / duet / stitch) and any commercial-content disclosure before anything is sent. No privacy level is preselected — you must pick one before the post button unlocks.
BoldEdit never reads, edits or deletes your existing TikTok content. You can disconnect TikTok at any time in Profile → Connected Accounts.
Posting to YouTube
BoldEdit uses YouTube API Services to upload a finished clip to your own channel. It asks for two permissions only: permission to upload videos, and permission to read your channel's name so the app can show which channel a post will go to. BoldEdit never edits or deletes anything on your channel. Before each upload you choose the title, description, visibility and the “made for kids” declaration yourself.
Your use of YouTube through BoldEdit is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. BoldEdit's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke BoldEdit's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
What is stored
BoldEdit has no user accounts and no content server. Access tokens for the platforms you connect are stored only in your device's Keychain, never uploaded to us. Disconnecting an account deletes its tokens from your device.
